About Us
We are dedicated to empowering recovery-focused organizations and individuals in their journey towards sustained recovery. -
Conduct Training - around evidence-based practices such as utilizing the REC-CAP assessment, implementing the Measure, Plan and Engage (MPE) model, Asset Based Community Engagement (ABCE), Community of Practices, etc.
-
Consult - We are often contacted by organizations to consult them in various matters related to improving internal processes and/or outcomes.
-
Evaluation - We offer a variety of evaluation services including assessments of the effectiveness of recovery organizations and to identify recovery training needs.
-
Innovation - We are happy to partner with organizations, individuals, or researchers to create new innovations for use in the recovery sector.
What We Do
Research
At Recovery Outcomes Institute we are committed to promoting and supporting scientific research surrounding recovery capital. Our research focuses on identifying best practices and effective approaches for supporting sustained recovery, as well as understanding the impact of recovery-focused initiatives on individuals, peers, organizations and communities.
Our research initiatives are designed to inform our work, as well as contribute to the larger body of knowledge on addiction recovery. We work closely with peer organizations and individuals in recovery to ensure that our research is relevant and responsive to the needs of the recovery community.
Primarily our work uses the growing reserve of completed REC-CAPs in multiple settings and countries, but we also undertake bespoke research projects and activities
Training
We offer training and support for organizations and individuals in the recovery community. Our training programs are designed to promote evidence-based practices and approaches for supporting sustained recovery, and to build recovery capital in the recovery community.
Our training programs cover a range of topics, including recovery capital, implementing the REC-CAP assessment, delivering a structured recovery support service called Measure, Plan & Engage (MPE), hosting community of practices, and workshops around Asset Based Community Engagement (ABCE). We work closely with our partners to tailor our training programs to their specific needs and goals, and to ensure that our programs are accessible and effective.
We have a series of structured online training courses to support use of the REC-CAP but we also offer bespoke in-person training where that is more suited to the needs of our partners.
Consultancy
We provide consultancy services for organizations and individuals in the treatment, justice and recovery communities. Our consultancy services are designed to help organizations and individuals develop and implement effective recovery-focused initiatives, as well as build recovery capital in their communities.
Our consultancy services cover a range of areas, including program development, implementing best practices, research and evaluation, and strategic planning. Much of this work will be around how to measure and review recovery capital at client, worker and organizational levels and how to improve the ability to grow and support recovery capital. We work closely with our partners to ensure that our consultancy services are responsive to their needs and goals, and that they are designed to promote sustainable and impactful change.
Evaluation
